Workplace relations - a child's eye view

Mummy said that Daddy can’t come home yet ‘cos the naughty men are arguing and being mean to each other, and Daddy has to stay behind and sort it all out so they’re friends again and can do their jobs properly like they should be doing instead of arguing all the time.

Daddy goes away a lot to other countries to work. I don’t like him being away. I want him to come guarding with me like he promised.

I hope Daddy can make them be nice to each other soon. I love my Mummy, but I miss my Daddy.

thought provoking, Sue - I fid it hard to write anything in less than 100 words, though.

David, I think the difference is that you KNOW what you're doing and I'm still stumbling around trying to work it out. It still feels very hit and miss, and I'm trying not to go on and on, hence the Drabble style.

I love this (and the video was adorable!), even if it is quite sad. Daddies shouldn't have to go to other countries even if they make the men stop arguing. The men shouldn't argue in the first place. If only all kids could reason like that, and remember their reasoning, then perhaps war would be abolished by the next generation. A delusional, yet sweet wish for Valentine's Day.

Cruella, It seems like such a simple thing yet simultaneously impossible. If only we could keep that clarity.
thanks for popping by Boonie. "inspired"? Thankyou, but simply observed and retold from real life.
